As is the norm, you can now get the new public build on my Patreon 1 month early by being a Lace-tier (or up) supporter on my patreon. It'll be released for everyone on January 3rd. To get the build you'd have to be a Lace tier supporter, which is the lowest one.

Here's the 0.17 build, 1 month early! There is a FAQ text file in the folder I recommend reading first if you have questions, the answer might already be there!

How do I get the save from 0.16 into this build?

If you go into the folders of your old game, inside the www folder you will find a save folder,

copy that into the new build's www folder. That is all you need to do.

What is new?

A new area you can get to through the underwater map called Hideout, with new enemies, items, and pixel animations! I also think a new scene in Piratetown is unlocked in this build too! On the Eastern side of the town.

I recommend checking out the walkthrough if you wonder what you might be missing.
